Since 1986, Sécurlite has been designing and manufacturing shock-resistant lighting in La Ferté-Bernard, in Sarthe. Beyond its industrial expertise, the company has made social inclusion a pillar of its strategy: integration of an ESAT directly within its premises, inclusive recruitment, training to raise awareness of unconscious biases, and individual support for employees with disabilities. A concrete approach, carried out since 2012, that demonstrates it is possible to combine economic performance and social responsibility.

A sheltered workshop integrated at the heart of production

One of the most structuring measures of Sécurlite's inclusive approach is the integration of a sheltered workshop directly into its premises. Since 2012, 8 to 10 workers with disabilities participate daily in production activities alongside the company's employees.

This model promotes the autonomy of workers, the development of their skills, and their real integration within the teams — beyond mere occasional subcontracting.

"We are convinced that the integration of a sheltered workshop into our production process constitutes a model of collaboration, proving that it is possible to combine economic performance and social responsibility."

Stéphane Aubry, General Director, Sécurlite

An inclusive recruitment policy

Sécurlite's job offers explicitly state their accessibility to people with disabilities. The company has drafted a charter for ethical and equitable recruitment, which guarantees transparent selection processes for all candidates.

Raising awareness among teams about unconscious biases

Regular training

Sécurlite regularly organizes awareness training for its employees, particularly focusing on stereotypes and unconscious biases, in order to promote a respectful and inclusive work environment.

The Lidup program

The company offers specific training through the Lidup program, designed to align employees and the HR line on managing diversity in the workplace. The goal is to create a common culture, where inclusion is not only driven by HR but embodied at all levels of the organization.

Individualized human and technical support

Human Support

Sécurlite offers a individual follow-up of its employees with disabilities, including skills assessments and support for the procedures for recognition of the status of disabled worker (RQTH).

Technical Support

The company has implemented physical adjustments to ensure the accessibility of its premises: ergonomic seats, adapted screens, and specific modifications to access infrastructure.

Partnerships that go beyond the company

Sécurlite also collaborates with external associations, including Habitat et Humanisme, with which it has signed an agreement to combat inadequate housing. This approach illustrates a coherent territorial CSR: social commitment does not stop at the company's doors.

Une question ?

An ESAT (Establishment and Service for Work Assistance) is a medico-social structure that allows people with disabilities to engage in professional activities in an adapted environment. At Sécurlite, the ESAT is not an external provider: it has been physically integrated into the company's premises since 2012. Every day, 8 to 10 workers participate in production activities alongside employees, in a model of direct collaboration.

Through two complementary systems: regular training on stereotypes and unconscious biases, open to all employees, and the Lidup program, specifically designed to align employees and HR teams on managing diversity in the workplace. The goal is to create an inclusive culture supported at all levels of the organization, and not just by human resources.

The RQTH (Recognition of the Quality of Disabled Worker) is a status granted by the MDPH that officially recognizes a person's disability in the professional context. It entitles them to workplace adjustments, employment assistance, and specific protections. At Sécurlite, affected employees benefit from individual support to initiate these processes, which are often complex to start alone.

No. In addition to its internal systems, Sécurlite collaborates with external associations such as Habitat and Humanism, with which it has signed an agreement to combat inadequate housing. This approach illustrates a coherent territorial CSR: the company's social commitment extends beyond its walls and contributes to the local ecosystem.
