Frequently Asked Questions: Risk Mapping
Risk Mapping is a mapping tool that identifies and prioritizes the CSR risks of your suppliers and partners, even before launching a full assessment. It crosses 4 pillars (Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics, Responsible Purchasing) with the geographical location and the business sector of each supplier, to highlight an actionable risk level.
Each supplier is analyzed according to documented and consultable weightings at any time (country, sector, type of site), based on recognized international references (Yale EPI, ITUC, Transparency International, OECD, EUDR...). No black box calculations: each risk level remains traceable to its source.
Risk Mapping intervenes upstream : it helps to identify and prioritize which suppliers to evaluate first, without requiring a response from them. The CSR Scoring, on the other hand, is the evaluation itself : a structured questionnaire filled out by the supplier, which measures their actual performance. The two tools complement each other in the same due diligence process.
Each level triggers a different recommended action: from simple standard monitoring (Low level) to an immediate CSR evaluation required (Critical level). The reading grid is documented to interpret each score unambiguously.
Yes. The methodology incorporates regulatory specifics and risks unique to each geographical area, for a mapping that accurately reflects the reality of your international ecosystem, regardless of where your suppliers are located.
Yes, it is regularly revised to stay aligned with regulatory developments (CSRD, CS3D, duty of vigilance, EUDR).
